Your spare room doesn’t just have to be the room you fill with unwanted junk, if used correctly it can become a very useful and altogether important part of any household. So here are some handy tips to help you get that spare room working again.
Use if For Something
Who says it has to be a room store things like dusty home furniture? A spare room can be used for any number of things, from a room for a certain hobby, such as sewing or painting, or a room for the children to play in, such as a nursery or a play room.
Don’t Hoard, Recycle
Storing forgotten clothes, furniture amongst other things in a disused room is something that most people do, but it can mean that you’ll then never use these things because you’ll never see them. So think long and hard about which items you want to store away, and see if there are any items that you can use, or even some that you can donate to friends, family and charity.
Whatever you use your spare room for, be prepared for people staying over, and using your spare room as a bedroom, so remember to keep some spare bedding handy if you’re expecting overnight guests.
